Our Clientele

The Ministère de la Santé et des Services Sociaux (MSSS) regulates admission to Bayview. Bayview is designated to provide care for adults who require approximately three hours or more of care per day.

ADMISSION TO BAYVIEW

Bayview is a home-like residence, therefore all tours must be guided to ensure respect of privacy and well-being. To schedule a tour, please contact the Social Worker at (514) 695-9384, ext. 268.

To apply for admission, please contact Social Services at the CLSC in your area for a care needs assessment. The required forms will be completed and forwarded to the Mécanisme d'accès en hébergement (MAH), who will then determine if admission to Bayview is appropriate for the level of care required.

Due to high demand for placement in long-term care, the wait time for admission to Bayview is normally one year or longer.

Several months before admission, Bayview will contact the individual and/or their representative to arrange for a pre-admission visit. Such representation must be in accordance with current legislation. For further information, please contact the Admissions Office at (514) 695-9384, ext. 256.

Residence Fees

The fees in long-term care establishments are determined by the Ministry of Manpower and Income Security. The fees are based on the type of accommodation and the income and/or assets of the resident and spouse.
